Covid-19 Booster Shot Information

For individuals who received either Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines, the CDC is recommending a booster shot for higher risk individuals starting 8 months after they received their second dose. This is subject to authorization by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and recommendation by CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). For those individuals who received Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen (J&J/Janssen) COVID-19 Vaccine, recommendation for a booster is pending review of additional data.
